Sowing the seeds.. pt. 3

3:00pm is coming and with that a well deserved vacation. Never fear I shall be posting during my break because I'm sure I will have remembered some things. but until then, here are some seed photos.

- climbing the beanstalk

- awaking to the sunrise

- we have plants!

- Jack will need to wait a few days before climbing these sprouts

- up close and personal

I hope these plants survive over the break. But if not we can plant new things.

- artsy leaf shot

I hope they all grow soon. The kids are really enjoying this project as am I. I need to get some more projects that are "hands-on" and exciting.

sowing the seeds..

so remarkably after the weekend the seeds decided to sprout (well 2 did). I am very happy (and relieved) that this worked because it was the first time I attempted it.
Take a gander:

latest class project

The class is working on a pretty cool project this week. We are making self-watering planters. All the material is from recycled goods which is very important for this kids to learn about. And it was a fairly successful hands-on lesson.
